A Dahlonega woman was killed in a head-on crash on Georgia Highway 60 (SR 60) north of Lake Zwerner Friday night.
The Georgia State Patrol said the two-vehicle accident happened just after 7:30 p.m. south of Rabel Drive.
Investigating troopers said Bonnie Brisbee, 50, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer south on SR 60 when she crossed into the northbound lane of traffic. Brisbee's vehicle struck a 2006 Dodge Ram being driven by Shandra Loggins, 50, of Dahlonega.
Brisbee died as a result of her injuries.
Loggins received serious injuries and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment, according to troopers.
