Collins joins other Georgia congressional Republicans in endorsing Handel

By AccessWDUN staff

Doug Collins of Gainesville and other Republican members of Georgia's congressional delegation have thrown their support behind Karen Handel in the June runoff for the state's 6th District congressional seat.

Handel, a fellow Republican and former Georgia Secretary of State, will face Jon Ossoff, a Democrat, in the runoff.  They were the top vote-getters in Tuesday's 18-candidate race for the U.S. House seat vacated earlier this year by Tom Price after he was named Health and Human Services Secretary by President Trump.  Ossoff fell just short of winning the election outright in the traditionally Republican district.

The 6th District includes parts of north metro Atlanta, including Johns Creek, Roswell, and Alpharetta.
