CLEVELAND — Emergency road work has wrapped up on Ga. 75 (Helen Highway) in White County, with the roadway being reopened to traffic at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Katie Strickland with the state Department of Transportation said the roadway had been closed between Ga. 384 (Duncan Bridge Road) and Hulsey Road in Cleveland since Monday morning.
The roadway was reopened, according to Strickland, after crews completed emergency repairs on a drainpipe under the busy highway.
Ga. 75 is the primary highway connecting the cities of Cleveland and Helen.
