The popular "Food Truck Fridays" start this week, April 7, at Suwanee's Town Center Park.
"Food Truck Fridays always exceed my expectation for crowds. People seem to really love the variety of the food trucks," said Marty Allen, city manager.
"One of the things food trucks specialize in, is combining all sorts of different things, and so you get this fusion of really cool stuff."
The event, which happens the first Friday of every month from April through September (excluding July), starts at 5:30 p.m. and includes a tentative lineup of 11 food trucks (See list at the end of this article.) and two live bands.
Capital Arms will take the stage at 7 p.m., and God Bless Relative will follow at 8 p.m.
"We'll have two- to five-thousand people out here, but we have enough food trucks and enough places to eat in Town Center that can handle it and support it," Allen said.
At the event, the North Gwinnett Arts Association will be hosting a workshop for lantern-making. Kits are available for purchase for $8.
The food trucks expected to be at Friday's event (subject to change) are:
- Bustin' Butts
- Deep South Biscuit Co.
- Gekko Sushi
- Grubbin' Out
- Happy Belly
- King of Pops
- Mac the Cheese
- Pickle Truck
- Simply Done Donuts
- Tasting Maine
- Urban Taali
