East Hall High School student allegedly had 39 doses of LSD at school

An East Hall High School student faces drug charges and a school disciplinary tribunal for allegedly having nearly 40 doses of LSD on school property Tuesday.

Salvador Godoy Mojica, 17, of Gillsville, is charged with possession of LSD with the intent to distribute and distribution of drugs at a school, according to Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.

"EHHS administrators had been alerted that a student had narcotics on school property, and the information led them to Godoy Mojica," Hall County School District spokesman Gordon Higgins wrote in a media release.

The sheriff's office school resource officer assigned to the school arrested Mojica.  Ware said authorities found the LSD hidden between Mojica's phone and phone case.

Higgins said Mojica, a sophomore, has been suspended from school pending the tribunal.

The student was arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail, according to Ware.  Mojica was no longer on the jail's online inmate list Wednesday afternoon.
