Tennis: Lady Trojans win, North Hall boys fall to GAC in 7-AAA

NORCROSS — The North Hall tennis teams split with Greater Atlanta Christian Friday in Region 7-AAA action Friday.

The Lady Trojans swept GAC 5-0 but the boys fell 4-1 to the Spartans.

For the girls, Anna Montgomery, Christen Barnes, and Baylee Turner all took straight-set victories in singles.

The doubles teams of Sydney Patterson and Annalise Gregory and Carsen Baumgardner and Raquel Kallab also did not drop a set in completing the shutout.

The Lady Torjans improved to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in Region 7-AAA.

In the boys match, Kody Dills at No. 3 singles rallied from a set down to beat Calvin Dong for North Hall's only win.

Also in singles, Masa Kobayashi fell to Alex Kahn and Christian Boychuk lost to Lucas Veltmart in three sets.

The dubls teams of Daniel Martin and Adam Turcotte and Ethan Surles and Shawn Wallhausen both lost in straight sets.

The boys fell 6-4 overall and 2-1 in region play.

Both teams will travel Flowery Branch on Monday in a non-region battle.
