Monday afternoon fire destroys one, damages two Flowery Branch homes

A Monday afternoon fire destroyed a house and damaged two adjacent homes on Bridgeport Court in Flowery Branch, according to a fire officials.
 
"Arriving personnel found a 2000 square foot home with heavy fire showing from the second floor and attic,"  Hall County Fire Services Captain Zachary Brackett said in an email. "Two other homes received moderate damage on the sides facing the original fire structure."
 
He later said the initial fire home, valued at $170,000, was a total loss and the two other homes suffered about $15,000 worth of exterior damage. 
 
Brackett said no injuries have been reported, however, the family of the initial fire structure have been displaced. Brackett said the Red Cross was contacted to assist the adult male, adult female, and female children ages 3 and 5.
 
Firefighters remained on the scene going into the 5:00 p.m. hour.  Brackett said the cause of the initial fire was not immediately known.
 
Bridgeport Court is off of Mulberry Street.
