Wrestling: Radich stepping down at West Hall

By AccessWDUN

OAKWOOD — West Hall Athletic Director Ethan Banks announced Monday that long-time wrestling coach Eric Radich is stepping down from the top of the program.

Radich coached the Spartans the past nine seasons after spending three seasons as an assistant coach. He was a standout wrestler for West Hall and graduated from the school in 1999.

According to the press release by Banks, Radich is stepping down for personal reasons but will stay on as a teacher at West Hall.

"It was a personal decision by Coach Radich," Banks said. "He is a vital part of our faculty and we are fortunate to have him staying on in that capacity here."

Banks said they have already begun the search for his replacement.

"We're going to open it up as wide as we can," Banks said. "We want to do our due deligance to find the best person we can. We'll look outside but we also have very capable people already on the staff.

"The coaching carousel starts now for all sports, really, but we obviously would rather hire someone sooner rather than later. Hopefully we'll be able to do that."
