CLEVELAND - The White County Sheriff’s Office has released a sketch of a suspect in connection with  the attempted armed robbery and shooting Monday night at Woodlawn Gardens and Farm on Highway 254.

A lone gunman walked up to a drive-by window and demanded money. The victim, identified as Tim Motes, was cleaning at the business. According to White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram, Motes told the suspect that he didn’t have any money and then the suspect shot the victim in the stomach.

Motes was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment. Ingram said Tuesday that the victim was expected to be okay.

A search of the area Monday night for the suspect was unsuccessful.

Captain Rick Kelley with the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigative Division said the suspect is believed to be a white male, between 40-50 years old, approximately 5’ 8" tall, weighing about 150 pounds.

Kelley advised anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the White County Sheriff’s Office at 706- 865-5177
