OAKWOOD — Bailey Whitlock and Brannon Browner combined for six hits and eight RBI to lead Lakeview Academy to an 18-0, three inning win over Johnson Saturday to earn its first win of the season.
Whitlock and Browner each had three hits with Whilock knocking in five runs and Browner three.
Lakeview (1-4) scored 10 runs in the opening frame to take control quickly. The Lions added five runs in the second and three in the third to invoke the Mercy Rule.
JD Roark, Sam Stewart, and Evan Gravitt each player scored three runs for the Lions. Rob Hamby got the win on the mound for Lakeview.
Lakeview Academy next will travel to West Hall on Monday.
Johnson (2-3) has dropped three straight and will play host to Central Gwinnett on Monday.
