NE Georgia Medical Center to host colorectal health forum

By AccessWDUN staff
Is a colonoscopy really necessary?  Do the at-home screening tests actually work?  When do I really need to start screening?

The Northeast Georgia Medical Center is hosting two question and answer sessions next month on colorectal cancer.

A panel of doctors – including a gastroenterologist, surgeon, medical oncologist and radiation oncologist – will discuss common myths and facts regarding prevention, screening and treatment options for the disease.

One meeting will be held Tuesday, March 7, in NGMC Braselton’s Education Center;  the other is planned Wednesday, March 15, in NGMC Gainesville’s Walters Auditorium.

Registration and a free light supper start at 5:30, with the presentations beginning at 6:00.  The seminars are free, but registration is required.

For more information or to register, call 1-800-347-1416 or visit www.nghs.com/colon-seminar.
