When investigators unveiled the case earlier this week, they said the suspect had bilked victims out of more than $30,000, claiming he could help them to gain legal citizenship. Once he had money in hand, he disappeared.
The suspect is believed to have set up a stand at Pendergrass Flea Market on Hwy. 129 to conduct some of his fraudulent activity.
The press statement said additional victims have come forward claiming to have been scammed by the suspect, but the lead investigator said there still may be victims who have not reported a crime because they fear law enforcement, since they are in the country illegally.
Currently, Bueno-Cabrera is wanted for three counts of theft by deception and three counts of unauthorized practice of law.
A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of Eddi Bueno-Cabrera.
