By B.J. Williams
For the third time this week, the Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash involving a local school bus.

The latest accident happened Friday morning when a Hall County school bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle at the intersection of Highway 60 and Hopewell Church Road.

School District spokesman Gordon Higgins said eight students from Mt. Vernon Elementary were on board the bus at the time. Another bus came to the scene to transport the children to school for the day.

No one was injured, according to Higgins.

On Wednesday, a Hall County school bus carrying students homes from Chestnut Mountain Elementary School was hit from behind by a passenger vehicle on Winder Highway. The 72-year-old driver of the passenger vehicle was injured in that crash. Then on Thursday afternoon, a Gainesville City School bus was involved in a three-vehicle crash on McEver Road at Vineyard Way. The driver and a passenger in one of the passenger vehicles were injured and taken to the hospital.
