Foote wins Gainesville City Senior Championship

GAINESVILLE — The 2017 Gainesville City Senior Championship was held Nov. 10-11 at Chattahoochee Golf Course in Gainesville. The Championship is 36 holes of stroke play for golfers age 50 and over. The super senior division is for golfers 65 and older.

Jim Foote won the 2017 Senior championship. Foote fired a 72-79 151 total on a cold, blistery weekend to win the title. Foote won by 3 shots over runner up Jeff Lawson 78-76 154.

In the senior net division, Mike Stephens was the winner shooting 68-76 144. In second place was Ed Waller, 77-73 150.

The 2017 Super Senior Champion is Jim Kamis. Jim shot 71-78 149 to win by 6 strokes over Billy Shrader 79-76 488.

In the super senior net division, Don Thomas won the crown with 77-66 143. Don won by a slim margin of 2 strokes over Fred Atterberry. 72-73 145.
