Gainesville men charged after meth, synthetic marijuana and counterfeit bills found

Two Gainesville men are facing varying charges after authorities say they found over 50 grams of methamphetamine and 40 grams of synthetic hash oil, as well as some counterfeit money.

John R. Turk, 59, and Brandon Gale Wineinger, 37, were arrested Tuesday during the course of a Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad investigation.

Acting on a search warrant in the 3000 block of Woods Drive, Gainesville, Hall County, GA., investigators located 54 grams of methamphetamine packaged into eight bags, two grams of hash oil, 40 grams of synthetic marijuana packaged into five bags and two counterfeit $100 bills. Agents also located seven Methadone, 2 Alprazolan pills, packaging materials, digital scales, syringes and drug paraphernalia. 

The total street values of the total amount of narcotics seized was roughly $6735.

Both men face possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Turk also faces trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana hash oil (felony), possession of Oxycodone, possession of Methadone, possession of Alprazolan and forgery in the second degree; Wineinger also faces possession of a synthetic cannabinoid with intent to distribute.
