Gainesville woman among 12 finalists for Jackson County Woman of the Year

A Gainesville woman is in the running for this year's Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce "Woman of the Year" award.

The chamber will host its tenth annual Woman of the Year Luncheon Wednesday at The Venue at Friendship Springs in Flowery Branch.

The twelve finalists are:

Holly Ashworth of Jefferson,  Ashworth & Levinge

Karen Bridgeman of Jefferson, Jackson County School Systems

Chris Bulls of Commerce, CMC Consulting

Christy Dove of Jefferson, Damsel In Defense

Janis Mangum of Jefferson, Jackson County Sheriff Department

Blanche McCreary of Commerce, The Daisy House

Ali Merk of Jefferson, UGA Extension

Heidi Owen of Hoschton, Alexanderhof Training Center

Terri Parker of Commerce, Northridge Medical Center

Michele Price of Hoschton, Visiting Angels

April Sorrow of Jefferson, Jackson EMC

Ahna Still of Gainesville, Halski Systems

Guest speaker will be retired Atlanta television reporter and news anchor Monica Pearson.
