CLARKESVILLE — One person died when a tree fell on the vehicle she was driving in the Hollywood community of Habersham County Monday afternoon.
The single-vehicle incident happened just before 1 p.m. as the vehicle traveled north on Buckhorn Road, according to Sgt. 1st Class Chad Johnson of Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa. The compact SUV was struck by a falling oak tree.
No further details are being released until Tuesday pending notification of the victim's family.
