(VIDEO) Jefferson makes short work of North Oconee

JEFFERSON — The third-ranked team in Class AAAA made sure there would be no thoughts of an upset on Friday night.

Jefferson jumped in front in the first half and stoned North Oconee's attack throughout the night en route to a 44-0 win at Memorial Stadium in Jefferson.

Quarterback Bryce Moore continued to show the Dragons' improvement in its passing attack, as the signal caller threw for three touchdown passes -- two in the second quarter, as Jefferson pushed its way to a 24-0 halftime advantage.

Colby Wood got the Dragons (6-1, 2-0 Region 8-AAAA) on the board with a five-yard scoring run in the first quarter. He also caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Moore in a 17-point run in the quarter. Moore also connected with Zac Corbin on a 19-yard touchdown pass and Hayden Kilgore added a 25-yard field goal before the interval.

Moore kept it going in the third quarter, combining with Justin Cole on a six-yard scoring pass for a 30-0 advantage (the PAT was blocked). Donsha Gaither and Colby Clark rounded out the scoring with touchdown runs of seven and two yards, respectively.

Jefferson travels to face St. Pius next week in a match-up of the only two teams undefeated in Region 8-AAAA play.
