The Johnson volleyball team finished fourth in the Area 8-AAAAA tournament on Saturday and secured a bid in the state tournament.
The Lady Knights lost to Flowery Branch -- 25-17, 25-16 -- defeated Walnut Grove -- 20-25, 25-23, 25-14 -- and fell to the Branch in a rematch -- 25-13 25-13.
Grace Eidson produced 5 Aces, 21 kills, 3 blocks, 20 assists and 5 digs to help lead Johnson, while Alivia Farley added 5 kills, 26 assists and 12 digs. Samantha Summerville also racked up 6 aces, 12 kills and 6 digs, and Julia Bowers had 14 digs and 5 aces. Kellie Tran also had 10 kills, 5 blocks and 4 digs.
The Lady Knights begin state tournament play on Wednesday.
