One arrested in prostitution sting at Forsyth County business

An employee was arrested and a business owner could be facing charges after Forsyth County authorities conducted an undercover operation at a massage parlor on McFarland Parkway.

Deputy Doug Rainwater said in a press release they had received several complaints about prostitution at Healing Touch Massage.

"Through our investigation, we found that a number of people were found going inside this business using the back door instead of the froont door," Rainwater said. "Naturally that's a red flag for us, for this type of buisness." Rainwater said some businesses will allow regular customers to enter the establishement through the back door so people would not see them enter the establishment.

On Monday, an undercover deputy was sent in to the parlor and solicited sex acts from an employee in exchange for cash, Rainwater said in the release. "He was told that, for a price, he could have different sexual favors, and at that point the employee was placed under arrest for prostitution."

Eun Kang, 44, faces the charge. She was taken to the Forsyth County Detention Center and was released on $3,300 bond.

Rainwater said the owner for the business, Jeoung Gyu Shin, was out of state but has agreed to meet with authorities when he returns. He faces potential charges for the following charges: Employee records must be maintained at the business, customer service records must be kept at the business, employees required to have a permit from the county, employees must be fully clothed, ordinary beds not permitted, patrons required to use front door.

Sheriff Ron Freeman has made the enforcement and eradication of any business engaged in illegal sexual activity a priority, Rainwater said in the press release. Freeman and the Board of Commissioners are working to create a legal process to revoke the business license of any organization engaged in this type of crime.
