Single-vehicle Hall County crash kills two children, injures other passengers

Two children are dead and three more people are injured after a single-vehicle accident in Hall County Sunday afternoon.

Georgia State Patrol Sergeant Anthony Coleman said the wreck happened on Candler Road near Tanners Mill Road sometime before 1:50 p.m.when the vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Sabrina McConnell of Hall County, left the shoulder of the road and overcorrected, eventually leaving the road and hitting a tree.

According to Coleman, a 4-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy were both killed in the wreck. McConnell and two other adult passengers, 21-year-old Ashley Rose and 25-year-old John Wayne Gibbs III, both of Walton County, were injured in the crash and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Coleman said the crash is under investigation and no charges have been filed.

The conditions of the three injured individuals is unknown.
