Volleyball: East Hall finishes regular season with most wins in program history

RABBITTOWN — The East Hall volleyball team defeated Cedar Shoals 25-20, 25-7, 25-13 on senior night Thursday in Rabbittown. The Lady Vikings (33-10) ended the regular season with the best win-loss record in program history.

Savannah Thellman had 3 points scored on serve with 1 ace, 3 kills, 5 digs and 14 assists to help pace East Hall, while Holly Poole had 6 points scored on serve with 4 aces, 2 kills and 1 block. Summer Lindsey had 2 points scored on serve with 2 assists and 17 digs, and Tessa Rider scored 11 points on serve with 4 aces, 1 assist, 7 digs and 6 kills. Minette Maldonado scored 10 points on serve with 4 aces, 3 assists, 9 kills and 14 digs; Niyah Rucker had 6 points scored on serve with 3 aces, 4 kills, 1 dig and 1 block; Zaira Hernandez scored 8 points on serve with 4 aces, 1 kill and 5 digs; Macy Thomas had 2 kills and 1 dig; and Gali Rios had 1 point scored on serve with 2 assists and 5 digs.

The Lady Vikings play next in the Region 7-AAA tournament on Oct. 6 at North Hall. Games will begin at 4:30 p.m.
