TMU women's soccer falls to Tennessee Wesleyan, 1-0

CLEVELAND — The Truett McConnell women's soccer team dropped a tightly contested match to Tennessee Wesleyan, 1-0, Wednesday afternoon at the TMU Soccer Complex. The Bears fall to 4-5 and 1-3 in AAC play with the loss.

After a scoreless first half, the Bulldogs broke the scoreless match with a goal in the 69th minute when Nicole Broderick took a long pass from Amy Panayi and shot it into the left side of the net.

The Bears had multiple shots near the end of the match to tie, but all the chances were turned away.

TMU was outshot 10-8 in the contest and 5-2 in shots on goal.

The Bears will be back on the pitch on Saturday, October 1, against Bluefield at 2 p.m. in Cleveland.
