Suwanee city council to consider approval of Town Center West master plan

Suwanee city council will consider the approval of a master plan for the city's Town Center West when it meets Tuesday evening.

Plans were first revealed to residents and stakeholders at an open house Sept. 7, which outlined what city leaders planned to do with the land adjacent to the library.

Those plans for the 20-acre site known as the DeLay property included a mixture of urban and rural environments, plus a central water feature, city officials said at the time.

"We received over one thousand completed surveys from citizens with ideas for the new park," said Suwanee Assistance City Manager Denise Brinson.

The plans also initially included a lawn area, plaza and volleyball courts.

Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at city hall, located in the Suwanee Town Center to give the matter a final vote.
