DAWSONVILLE — Just one week removed from barely being able to throw, Dawson County’s Coey Watson showed just how tough he is.

The junior quarterback was 18-for-27 for 252 yards passing and one touchdown and rushed for another 54 yards to lead the Tigers to a stunning 46-0 dismantling of White County Friday night.

The Tigers blew the game open with a 21-point third quarter to leave no doubt.

The Dawson County defense shut down the Warriors offense. The Tigers held White County Defense held White County to just 130 yards rushing on 43 carries. The Warriors were 0-for-7 passing with two interceptions as well.

Austin Young was Watson’s favorite target snaring seven passes for 132 yards and the one touchdown pass.
