University of North Georgia senior Kevin Glendon was named the Peach Belt Conference Defender of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. Glendon won the first honor of the year after scoring the game-winning goal against No. 5 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday.
Glendon anchors the North Georgia backline that allowed only two goals against the defending NCAA South Region Champions. The game-winning goal that the Powder Springs native headed into goal in the 87th minute was the first of his collegiate career.
