Winder Police are investigating a body discovered in the lake Friday morning at Fort Yargo State Park.
Police said a fisherman discovered the body in the water near a beach area designated for swimming according to a news release. Winder officers and firefighters responded to the scene around 8:30 a.m. after the fisherman called 911.
Investigators identified the body as Lynn Ann Bowen, 52, of Covington.
"Winder officers located a vehicle and some personal items near the scene that were determined to belong to the victim," the news release stated.
The body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab for an autopsy. Police said foul play is not suspected.
