10 arrested in Hall County prostitution and drug investigation

Hall County authorities arrested ten people Thursday during the course of an undercover prostitution and drug investigation.

The short term investigation targeted pimps, prostitutes, their customers and illegal narcotics, according to a press release from Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Sgt. Don Scalia.

Charles Antonio Cook, 38, of Buford and Fredrick Rico Martin, 42, of Athens both face a charge of pandering.

Lisa Ann Valencia, 40, of Duncanville, Texas; Selecia Jacohl Bussie, 21, of Atlanta; Chrissy Renaee Jones, 24, of Watkinsville; and Joanna Kayla Barrett, 33, of Alto were all charged with prostitution.

Alexander Tsegai Asefaw, 39, of Duluth and John Timothy Mobley, 21, of Gainesville were charged with pimping.

Mobley also faces possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Scalia said in the release that Mobley was found in possession of approximately two grams of methamphetamine in two separate baggies, worth approximately $200 on the street, as well as packaging materials.

Deandre Xavier Matthews, 19, of Buford was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and a misdemeanor of possession of marijuana. Scalia said in the release Matthews was observed with a 16-year-old juvenile, smoking marijuana in a car parked near undercover officers. 

He was subsequently found with approximately nine grams of marijuana in separate baggies, totaling $270 on the street, as well as two marijuana grinders. 

The juvenile suspect faces a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge in Juvenile Court.

Hall County MANS Task Force Officers assisted by HCSO Criminal Investigations, HCSO Jail, HCSO Court Services, and Department of Community Supervision all participated in the investigation.

No additional charges are anticipated in this investigation.
