Hall County Fire Services battled a commercial fire in the eastern portion of the county early Monday evening.
Expressway Wrecker was fully involved in fire when firefighters arrived on scene around 6 p.m., according to a email from Fire Captain Zach Brackett.
He said that the nature of the fire and the location of the business forced authorities to shut down the roadway while they handled the situation. Hall County dispatch says the roadway was reopened to traffic just before 8 p.m.
The business, which is housed in a 2000-square-foot structure, is located on Athens Highway at Barrett Road.
Brackett said no injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
