Suwanee Police make arrest in serial flasher case

Suwanee Police have arrested the man they believe exposed himself to women passing his vehicle on six separate occasions.

Officers responded to a Monday afternoon call from a citizen who reported a suspicious vehicle matching one police had described in an earlier lookout, according to Captain Cass Mooney.  They arrested the driver.

"We've done interviews with him.  We're still developing this case," Mooney said Tuesday morning.  "We haven't completed photo lineups with the victims yet, so we're not releasing his information yet, because we don't want to taint any possible photo lineup with his picture being released prior to the victims being contacted."

The lewd incidents, involving the man sexually stimulating himself in front of the victims, have been happening for several weeks, all during daylight hours.

"The suspect was wearing a white tank top with the lower
portion of his body exposed during each incident," police stated in a media release last week.

Locations have included Moore Road, Landsdowne Subdivision, Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Forest Plantation Subdivision and the area around Town Center Park.

Mooney said investigators are in the beginning stages of the case.

"He (lead detective) did take initial charges.  I'm not sure how many, but we did charge him initially at this point.
