Protest against police shootings marches through Atlanta

By Associated Press

ATLANTA (AP) Hundreds of people have marched through Atlanta to protest the deaths of two black men shot by police this week in Louisiana and Minnesota.

The rally started at Underground Atlanta in downtown and moved in Piedmont Park, where video shows protesters chanting ``not one more'' as they arrived Thursday evening.

Later in the night, protesters continued to move through the city. Local media outlets report marchers pushed past police barricades and caused brief delays on Interstate 75/85 through downtown.

The demonstrations were in response to the Wednesday shooting of Philando Castile in a St. Paul suburb and Tuesday's shooting of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Both were captured on cellphone video and shared widely online.
