Hall County deputies find stolen truck, catch fleeing suspect, girlfriend

A man and woman are behind bars in Hall County in connection to a stolen box truck out of Lamar County.

Deputies spotted a truck matching the description of the stolen vehicle Thursday afternoon on Ga. 365 in North Hall, according to a news release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies pulled the truck over, and the driver, Christopher Cody Heaton, 31, of Lavonia, fled the scene on foot.

He tried to get in an SUV driven by his girlfriend, Tiny Lynn White, 38, of Gainesville, but deputies were able to keep the SUV from leaving the scene.

Both people were taken to the Hall County jail without any further incident, with Heaton facing a felony charge of theft by receiving and White facing a charge of being a party to a crime.

Nobody else was in either vehicle during the incident.
