Hall County Sheriff's Office to ramp up patrols on Ga. 53 and Browns Bridge Road

The Hall County Sheriff's Office will be increasing its patrols throughout the rest of May on several busy corridors in Hall County, partly in response to citizen complaints.

Patrolmen will be on duty on Ga. 53 (west and south), Duckett Mill Road, Martin Road and Ga. 369/Browns Bridge Road, according to Sgt. Todd Casper, Hall County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit.

"Specifically, (Martin) Road, the complaints are due to the amount of commercial motor vehicles on the road with 10 wheels or more," said Casper, adding that the road serves as a cut-through from Ga. 53 to Atlanta Highway.

Deputies will also be on the lookout for the "usual" violations as well, including (but not limited to): speeding, aggressive driving, distracted driving and seatbelt violations.

The patrol will be especially concentrated Thursday afternoon; Casper said the whole traffic unit will be in service throughout the afternoon and into the evening rush hour.

The sheriff's office has done similar concentrated patrols in the past, along I-985 and Highway 129, among others.
