By Series PR

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. - Mark Fields scored an emotional win at Thunderhill Raceway in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. on Saturday night, taking the his first Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series victory and the $4,000 payday.

Fields set fast time in qualifying and started on the pole alongside Riley Hickman. At the drop of the green flag, Fields pulled ahead of Hickman and then set sail for the first 35 laps as he worked traffic. Behind him, Eric Hickerson and Hickman swapped the second spot back and forth.

Following a caution for the slowing car of Brett White, Hickman got back by Hickerson on the restart with four laps to go.

But there was no catching Fields, as he drove to the victory. Hickman finished second, with Hickerson in third, Brad Skinner in fourth and Scott Cook in fifth.

Josh Putnam, Jim Roger, John Minon, Ben Kittrell and Brett White rounded out the top ten.
