Dawson County Waffle House waitress arrested for spiking drink with meth

A Forsyth County woman is in jail, facing charges in Dawson County for allegedly spiking her Waffle House co-worker's drink with methamphetamine.

Sonserea Dawn Evans, 43, faces felony charges of aggravated battery and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, according to an email from Dawson County Sheriff's Cpt. Tony Wooten.

The incident happened on December 23 at the location on Ga. 53.

The 37-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition, eventually slipping into a coma and requiring a ventilator and feeding tube.

Waffle House turned over video of the incident to police, which appeared to show Evans taking the man's drink to the bathrooms while the victim was outside, said Wooten, returning the glass before the man returned.

No motive has been found in the case, and Wooten said Evans is not cooperating with the investigation.

She could face more charges, depending on the recovery of the victim.
