A thrilling week of region basketball tournaments have left us drained -- and wanting more.
We won't have long to wait for our basketball fix, however, as the state playoffs begin this week with first round contests on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Region champions Flowery Branch girls (8-AAAAA), Buford boys (8-AAAA), East Hall boys and West Hall girls (7-AAA) and Rabun County boys and girls (8-AA) will all look to keep their win streaks going as No. 1 seeds with a chance to host at least two state playoff contests.
Plenty more teams will be looking to bounce back, however, as 27 northeast Georgia-based programs begin their trek toward the ultimate title. Look below for a complete list of first round playoff match-ups for area programs.
