ELBERTON — The Class AAA No. 6 East Hall boys soccer team pitched its second straight shutout to open the season Friday with a 7-0 win over Elbert County.
Leo Toledo had four goals and one assist to lead the Vikings (2-0). They had blanked Prince Avenue 10-0 the night before.
Carlos Castrejon scored two goals and added one assist while Sergio Turcios scored one goal and had two assists for East Hall. Ruben Ramirez had two assists and Kyree Willis had one assist for the Vikings. Amir Solis had eight saves in goal for the Vikings and back up keepers Johan Rodriguez and Oscar Rosas added two saves each.
Meanwhile, the East Hall girls got their first win of the season knocking off the Lady Blue Devils 1-0 on the road.
Anna Elizarraiaz scored the lone goal for the Lady Vikings off an assist from Kimberly Quintanilla. Marianna Hernandez had eight saves in goal to earn the win.
Both East Hall teams will travel to White County on Tuesday.
