GAINESVILLE — The Flowery Branch girls soccer team defeated North Hall 1-0 on Thursday in Gainesville.
Mara Wheat scored the lone goal, a second half strike to lead the Lady Falcons to the win in their season-opener.
Kelsey Mathis and Kristen Townsend combined for the shutout in goal.
Flowery Branch plays again on Feb. 19 against Forsyth Central in Flowery Branch.
