BLUE RIDGE — Banks County dropped its first Region 7-AAA game of the season Friday night falling 61-59 to Fannin County on the road.
The Leopards (22-3, 11-1 Region 7-AAA) still held on to the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Region 7-AAA tournament despite the loss.
Zez Steeple paced Banks County with 19 points. Zac Orr had a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds and Dylan Orr added nine points 13 rebounds for the Leopards.
Fannin County improved to 11-3 overall and 3-9 in region play.
