CARNESVILLE — Thanks to a victory over Franklin County, and a little help from elsewhere, the East Hall girls basketball team wrapped the regular season tied for the No. 1 seed in Region 7-AAA on Friday.
The Lady Vikings (19-5, 10-2 Region 7-AAA) defeated Franklin County 69-40, paced by a stellar night from Carly Winters, who scored 26 points.
Kylah Mize also scored 18 points in the win, while Ashlyn Ellison and Macy Thomas both added nine points.
Their efforts, combined with West Hall's defeat of Dawson County on Friday, ensured a coin flip between East Hall and Dawson County on Saturday for the No. 1 seed from 7-AAA.
The Lady Vikings will next play in the 7-AAA tournament next week.
