ELBERTON — The 2016-2017 Fastpitch Softball All-State teams were recently announced by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association and several northeast Georgia players brought home awards.
Off their state title-winning teams, Buford and East Jackson both garnered year-end honors.
Lady Wolves' junior Arielle Oda was named the Class AAAAA Player of the Year and teammate Logan Caymol, also a junior, was named the AAAAA Pitcher of the Year.
For East Jackson, Jessie Marvin was named the Class AAA Pitcher of the Year.
