FLOWERY BRANCH — The No. 1-ranked Flowery Branch girls basketball team scored 21 first quarter points en route to a 60-33 defeat of Cedar Shoals on Friday in Flowery Branch.
The Lady Falcons (8-1, 2-0 Region 8-AAAAA) held the Lady Jaguars to just eight points in the third quarter, as they took a 47-27 lead.
Taniyah Worth scored 18 points to lead the Branch, while Lexie Sengkhammee added 12 and Caroline Wysocki nine.
The Lady Falcons play host to Loganville on Tuesday.
