MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. — The Truett McConnell men's basketball team fell to a hot-shooting Milligan team, 89-61, Tuesday night in Lacy Fieldhouse. The Bears fall to 3-5 and 0-2 with the loss.

Milligan came out firing, going on a 23-0 run to take the lead away from TMU for good early in the first half. The Bears cut the lead down to single digits twice in the first half, but Milligan shot 51 percent in the half and 45 percent from distance to take a healthy lead to the break.

The Bears offense picked up in the second half, but the Buffs did not cool down, shooting an impressive 58 percent from the field in the final half.

David Campbell and Mario Westbrooks led the Bears offensively with 12 points each.

The Bears will next host Union College in eight days on November 30 in the Bear Cave. Jack P. Nix Night is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start.
