A vacant house sustained heavy damage in a fire early Friday morning, according to officials with Hall County Fire Services.
Crews were called to the burning home in the 5500 block of McLeod Street in Lula at approximately 4:45 a.m.
Heavy fire showing from the roof of the structure when fire crews arrived. Fire Capt. Zacahry Brackett said in an email that a defensive attack was used to control the fire, then an interior attack was used to completely extinguish the fire.
Brackett estimnated the damage to the house at approximately $80,000.
The cause is undetermined at this time.
