The Lakeview boys cross country team qualified for the state championship meet in Carrollton on Thursday, qualifying from Region 8-A -- which features six of the top 10 teams in Class A.
Wright Allen paced the Lions, finished in 18 minutes, 6 seconds to take sixth individually. Hayes Kennedy also took 13th (18:42), while Dhruv Gaur was 14th (18:43). TO Sosebee also finished 20th, Mani Reddy 27th and John Carter Cooper 38th. Oliver Whitehead: was 55th.
The Lady Lions missed out on state, taking sixth. Jackie Allen paced the Lakeview girls with a time of 24:43.
