U.S. 129 was blocked in the Arcade area for several hours Monday because of downed power lines, Jackson County emergency dispatchers said.
Authorities said a tractor trailer brought the lines down in the area of Rock Forge Road. They reported the closure around 3:10 p.m.
Both sides of 129 were blocked as the issue was repaired. Dispatchers said the roadway was reopened during the 7 o'clock hour.
Emergency workers and power crews were reported to still be on scene after the roadway was reopened in order to finish repairs.
