Gainesville Water Conservation Specialist Kristen Howard will be giving away free shower heads next week to call attention to WaterSense’s Shower Better Month.
Howard said the typical 15 minute shower uses 120 gallons of water, but you can conserve by following two simple tips. “Pick up a free shower head like the one we’re giving away next week and turn off the water while you are soaping up.”
The shower heads will be available Oct. 24-27 from 9:00-4:00 each day at the Department of Water Resource building located at 757 Queen City Parkway.
