GAC leaves East Hall behind, 69-12

By AccessWDUN Staff

RABBITTOWN — With 8:40 remaining in the second quarter, East Hall football had the momentum and pulled within 27-12 of No. 1 Greater Atlanta Christian after back-to-back touchdown runs from Deon Ellison.

It was all Spartans from there, however, as GAC ran away with a 69-12 victory in Rabbittown.

GAC responded to the Ellison scores with a kickoff return for a touchdown by Kyler McMichael -- his fourth and final score of the contest -- and never looked back.

McMichael finished with 87 yards rushing on nine carries. GAC quarterback Davis Mills completed 10 of 15 passes for 193 yards and three scores. Harrison Sloan caught five passes for 127 yards and a touchdown.

Ellison led East Hall with 90 yards on 18 carries. Austin Parker passed for 158 yards, but the visitors picked off four passes.

The Vikings (2-5, 0-3 Region 7-AAA) will have a bye this week before playing host to Dawson County on Oct. 21.
