Sosebee to step down as Hall County elections director following Nov. election

Hall County Elections Director Charlotte Sosebee will step down from her position following the November election.

Sosebee has accepted a similar position in Athens-Clarke County, according to a news release from Hall County government officials.

"It has been an honor and privilege to serve the residents of Hall County for more than 25 years," said Sosebee.

"I'm proud of the advances the Elections Department has made during my tenure, and I want to assure voters that there will be no lapse in leadership or service during the upcoming election season."

Sosebee's last day on the job will be Nov. 16.

She began working with Hall County Elections in 1989 as a deputy clerk, then became the interim elections director in 2006.

Sosebee became the permanent director in 2011.
