The Northeast Georgia History Center's monthly family day will focus on the Middle Ages in October.
The event on October 9 with feature a digital exhibit of the Bayeaux Tapestry, hands on activities and living history interpretations. Families can learn about medieval cooking, arms and armory demonstrations and learn about medical practices from the 11th through 16th centuries.
The exhibit will cover 500 years, from the Battle of Hastings in 1066 to the De Soto Expedition through Georgia in 1540.
Admission is free. The event will take place at the history center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 9.
